Lynsey Ormerod

Lynsey has wanted to be a teacher ever since she was a child. Being in a classroom is where she feels at home, welcoming each new day as a chance to learn something new. The Montessori approach has intrigued her, from the independence demonstrated by the child during their work cycle to the well crafted and purposeful materials on the shelves.

Lynsey’s love for learning led her to complete a Bachelor of Education after finishing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Geography at Wilfred Laurier. She completed her Ontario College of Teachers certification and continues to seek additional opportunities to build on her existing knowledge. Her next educational pursuit will be obtaining her Montessori Early Childhood diploma in the coming year.

Lynsey lives here in Innisfil with her husband, two daughters and their dog Raya. Together they enjoy camping, exploring new places and playing Super Mario games on their Nintendo system. Lynsey has a love for sport (especially soccer), crafting and colouring and collecting picture books to read aloud.
