Ms. Makenzie Baker (on Maternity Leave)

Ms. Makenzie joined IMA in 2016 and has grown right along side her students. Ms. Makenzie is completing her Early Childhood Education apprenticeship program at Georgian College and has earned her Montessori Assistant Certificate. Ms. Makenzie is committed to nurturing her students into adults who are independent, responsible, and compassionate innovators. “This work renews my spirit daily and I am honoured to guide the children as they grow. I find the Montessori Method to continually meet the child where he/she is and help them soar” She believes Dr. Montessori said it best “You must find the work that satisfies your spirit.”

In her free time Ms. Makenzie enjoys reading, painting and spending time with family and friends.
