Ms. Makenzie Baker (on Maternity Leave)

Ms. Makenzie has been a valued member of the Innisfil Montessori Academy community since 2016/2017, where she works as a Montessori Directress. Over the years, her love of working with children has continued to grow, and she feels incredibly fortunate to be part of their early years and development.

She is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, confident and supported as they learn. She loves encouraging children to develop independence, curiosity and a genuine, lifelong love of learning.

In 2025, Ms. Makenzie welcomed her first daughter, making this stage of her life especially meaningful. Becoming a parent has given her an even greater appreciation for the trust families place in their educators and the important role they play in a child’s early years.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Makenzie enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and discovering new places, and expressing her creativity through painting.
